Crazy Like a FOX

Watching the news and RNC today I couldn't help but wonder how narrow minded and uninformed protestors who march on FOX News in NY really are. I'm a conservative who consistently watches Brit Hume and sit fuming at times because part of his political panel is made up of Liberals who come off one-sided with complete lack of reality based facts to present. Other shows on FOX as well have their share of Liberal faces and slant. The "FOX All-Stars of Hume have, at times, Mara Laison (NPR), Cici Connelly (Wash Post), Mort Kondracke (Roll Call/Moderate), Jeff Bernbaum (Wash Post/Moderate) and the most far left liberal I have seen in Juan Williams (NPR). Williams is a guy who has one point of view and makes a fool of himself consistently with statements that have zero factual basis but support left leaning ideas. He alone swings the commentary of Brit Hume, Wm. Crystal or Fred Barnes back to center but almost more left. FOX also has the likes of Geraldo Rivera, Greta Van Sustern, and the far left Alan Colmes. This little group, recruited from left leaning stations helps fill out some of the fair and balanced. Granted, much of FOX shows support for a more conservative to centrist idealogue in the political realm. When compared to the rest of the media who admits to being Liberal, FOX doesn't come close to balancing out the field. Like the Swift Boat ads, one versus the many is simply to much for Liberals to handle. Off they go crying foul when the very few present other values than their own. Fair and Balanced to the Liberals is having no other viewpoint than their own. Like Juan Williams of NPR a Liberal must raise their voice, shout, scream and make noise so they feel heard. Problem is, they have nothing factual to say.

You think Juan Williams, Mr. Bourgeoisie, is the most far left person you ever seen? Thats hilarious! But your point is taken, Fox News is indeed crazy. Not for their political views per se (although a lot of the crap that passes off as political views on that network puzzles me) but fromt their seemingly inability to have an adult conversation about anything. Screaming and yelling and people charging "You're a LIBERAL!!!!!!!"

I'll ask you mister random blogger guy. What makes you so afraid of all those people you say you hate? Oh, and by the way, we don't like to be called liberals. We prefer "Commie" or "Faerie"

I stand corrected. Commie is now stated for the record. That falls right in with Jane and John walking hand in hand down Ho Che Minh Trail.

Also, you must have misread my "Crazy Like A Fox" post as it means FOX news is certainly, as the saying goes, crazy like a fox.

Yelling and screaming are certainly on all the cable news shows. Anytime you get two opposing sides on these debates they seem to lose their cool. One view I have is the left side always enjoys interrupting and talking over the other person. They are terrible at listening, therefore, missing the dialogue.

Apparently you've never watched Bill O'Reilly's show. While my commie comment was in jest what is it about so called conservatives that want to label anyone who has a different opinion as a "commie" or "unamerican". Its schoolyard politics. Doesn't prove anything. Except give you a nice warm feeling "down there". The wonderful thing about our republic is that no one is right. Of course it is my summation that conservatives seem to think they are more often. Which is fine if anything ever actually ever got done.

Which is interesting point in its own. For three years the executive and legislative branch have been under complete republican control yet I always see them whining and complaining about how they can't get anything done. In the south where I'm from we call that being shiftless.

Not to mention the DNC Chairman and Ted Kennedy.

You apologize but than insult me in one sentence. It is pointless to get into a decent dialogue when insults are hurled instead of offering intellgent and meaningful discourse.

Two removed posts ending with a post saying "Sorry if the potty mouth offended you." (I'll assume offened is "offended")

I find it strange, ironic even, to see those on the same page. I suppose somebody didn't know what or how to say something.

My problem with Fox, and conservatives in general, is they always whine about fair. Fair up or down votes, fair this, fair that, or in this case, fair and balanced. The problem is you can never translate fair in those statements to equitable or just. Let’s face it Fox or conservatives have little to no interest in equitable or just.

I always thought they were misusing the word, but a friend pointed out that they use it the same way as his self-centered slacker son uses the word. His son would complain things weren’t fair. His son might say, “Giving me a ticket for doing 80 in a 55 isn’t fair”. He doesn’t mean it isn’t just as you might suppose, he means it isn’t "pleasant to behold". You see where I am going, she isn’t a fair lady, the tort system isn’t fair, or that tax is unfair for the rich. Right definition and it all makes sense.

I can only suppose Fox believes balanced means that all of the weight on the right side of a scale without it falling off is balanced.
