Nomar Tomorrow or Next Year for that matter

Jim Hendry was my selection for Major League Baseball executive last year and didn't receive the honor. He is in line for the award this year after unloading a poor hitting shortstop for one of the top 3 shortstops in baseball. WOW!! Nomar Garciaparra wearing Cubbie Blue on a day when the great Greg Maddux goes for # 300. Cub Heaven in Wrigleyville. The Cubs have potentially the best pitchers in baseball and now have a hitting lineup featuring Corey Patterson, Sammy Sosa, Moises Alou, Derrick Bell, Aramis Ramirez, Michael Barrett and now Nomar. Opposing pitcher have to be really wondering if they will get past the fifth inning. Excellent job Mr. Hendry. My Beloved Wrigley Field

In my humble opinion, there is no place better to watch a ballgame than Wrigley Field. Unfortunately in recent days the ballpark has come under intense scrutiny as it's infrastructure is showing signs of wear. Falling piece of concrete have been reported and netting has been put in place to protect fans. With Mayor Daley, a White Sox fan, threatening the Tribune Company and Cubs management one can only hope the problems are minor and treatable. I can't imagine the Cubs finally securing a place in the World Series and having done it using another ballpark. Wouldn't that be a typical slap in the face of all die-hard Cubs fans. You see, being a Cubs fan and love for Wrigley Field are intertwined. Like Mom, Apple Pie and the American Flag the Cubs and the ballpark are joined at the hip. John Kerry "Unfit For Command"

A new book out zoomed to #2 on the Amazon.com rankings reveals the real account of Kerry's 4 months in Vietnam. Quite a short tour from someone using this as the centerpiece of his command. Kerry served his country and won many medals which is certainly commendable. However, "Unfit For Command" reveals another story about staged photo-ops and filming which is now, after all these years,  being used at the Democratic National Convention in Boston. Kerry told the current NY Times editor in July of 2002, "I have no intention of using it for campaign purposes." OOPS! Lack of Substance, Big on Double Speak

Well, well the reports are out on the first speech presented by the "Dynamic Duo" of the Democratic Party. The characterization by anyone honest enough to admit it is John Edward's speech was dull, not hard hitting and didn't present a plan. Some say he was actually shown up by Al Sharpton who was allotted 6 minutes and took 20.  Sharpton got the crowd roaring something Edwards and Kerry are supposed to do. Instead behind the scenes grumblings are overheard by the Dean and Kucinich bunch. Not leaning left enough. Yikes! Can the Democrats ever quit the lies!!!

If we're honest with ourselves and remain objective it should be agreed upon that Democrats Bill Clinton and John Kerry can't help themselves when it comes to consistently deceiving the public with their words. Flip-Flop is often a kind representation of their mistatements of facts. As the 9/11 Commission Report has finally put to rest much of the lies of others who have "served" this country in some form or another the Joe Wilsons and Richard Clarkes can now crawl back into the holes in which they came. However, we seem to be stuck with the egomanical Clinton and the the so-called "War-Hero" Kerry for the time and I pray that time is short.
