Why Mark McGuire Ignores The Past

While still playing for the St. Louis Cardinals, Mark McGuire got caught with a substance on his locker shelf. A sportswriter saw a vile which was Anabolic Creatine, the pharmaceutical name is "20-Methanodrol." Following is a manufacturers labeling information on this substance. 'CRE-X3 is the worlds most anabolic creatine product. This groundbreaking product combines latest discoveries in creatine technology, which form a proprietary compound called Ethyl-X3. This compound includes the highly bioavailable Creatine Ethyl Ester HCL. The uptake of this compound is reported to be intense. This is combined with the fast acting substrates Tri-Creatine Malate and Creatine Anhydrous to help thrust ATP and muscle creatine to unbelievable levels. Also included in this formula is Vanadyl Sulfate, which may mimic the effects of insulin to help further drive Ethyl-X3 into the muscle cell. I don't recall the sportswriter but this occurred during the homerun race of 1998. What I remember is this. Mark McGuire retired from baseball not long after this incident. Subsequently, Mark McGuire refuses, with advice from his legal counsel, to discuss his professional past. It's no wonder. Any discussion including anabolic creatine would certainly incriminate him and rightfully remove him from the record books. Creatine is not illegal but is banned by many NFL teams and colleges. Negative effects from its use are rampant. New York Mets trainer Fred Hina stated, "We felt the risks outweighed the benefits." Sammy Sosa is also known to have used creatine. Of course Sammy was also known to have used cork in his bat which is illegal. If your teenager is using creatine be warned. The Blue Cross and Blue Shield's Healthy Competition Foundation says anecdotal and single-case evidence from trainers, physicians, coaches and athletes suggests a link between creatine and cramping, diarrhea, nausea, dizziness, dehydration, muscle strains, high blood pressure, incontinence, and abnormal liver and kidney function. Major League Baseball, their commissioner Bud Selig, and the MLB Union are all irresponsible as well as responsible for the rampant use of enhancement supplements among teens. Both "legal" and illegal substances are being ingested by thousands of teenage athletes, sometimes at the urging of their coaches. Congress has a right to investigate these issues. Major League Baseball and everyone involved with that organization has been given an intentional walk well into extra innings! Punishment should fit the crime. Test positive once, $100,000 fine and receive a 30 game suspension. 100% mandatory testing up to 4 times during the baseball season including Spring Training. Test positive twice, lifetime ban and removal from the record books. Putting teeth into the system is the only way to prevent further abuse of our national game and to eliminate the cowards and cheats. Parents are also responsible for monitoring their children. this is the biggest load of crap ive ever heard. your bashing the guy over creatine. everytime you eat a steak you ingest more creatine then you would by taking any supplement. why dont you people do some research before you make yourselves look like idiots with this biased and exaggerated information. you wouldn't read an article from a twelve year old girl on changing cam heads on big block engine, and its the same situation taking information about physiology from a journalist.

yeah this is total bs creatine has been studied for over 20 years and now that they have studied it long enough they know that all those supposive statemenst are bs so get with the picture
