Although I strongly support legal immigration it's beyond belief we could have thousands marching at planned, well-staged events with politicians speaking out to illegal immigrants, pretending they have a constitutional right to free assembly within the borders of the United States.
As a nation of laws, we cannot have it both ways. Illegal is just that, breaking the law, in a country of laws. This was an opportunity to round up lawbreakers instead of marching with them.
What message are we sending when our borders remains a sieve for intruders sneaking into our country by the thousands? Do we sympathize with their plight or defend ourselves from the intrusion?
Law enforcement has failed, our national government has failed and people who think they have special rights under our laws as non-citizens are truly deserving of the moon bat award. Support of this belief is supporting law breaking and breaks down our constitutional principles. Our weak-kneed politicians have failed miserably in their responsibilities join in this award.
It sends the wrong message to prospective citizens who wish to live the American dream legally.
