Have a Problem with Surveillance?

So much in the news on the "illegal surveillance" programs but little on how 10 airplane bombings were foiled and the methods use, including surveillance and wiretapping.

BERLIN -- German authorities on Saturday arrested a Lebanese student suspected of helping plant two bombs that failed to explode on trains last month, officials said.
xxx Chief prosecutor Monika Harms identified the 21-year-old suspect by his first names, Youssef Mohamad. She said he had been in Germany since 2004. He was arrested in the early morning at the main station in the Baltic Sea port city of Kiel, where he had studied.

Youssef Mohamad is believed to be one of two men seen in a video recording from Cologne's main station on July 31, the day of the attempted bombing, who were believed to have planted the devices.

The devices, made with gas canisters, were found on board trains in Dortmund and Koblenz, both of which had stopped in Cologne. They apparently were supposed to explode 10 minutes before the trains arrived at those stations.

Court order? FISA? Civil Liberties? How about potential innocent victims were spared!

it sure wasnt by taking away freedoms.
also someone better check history books.USA had a revolt against the monarchy.

What freedoms have been taken away in England?

How does one guard against terrorism? Do we wait to be bombed before acting?

Does diplomacy matter with al-Qaeda? Iran? Syria? North Korea?

I think not.
